There are two different game modes to choose from: Quick Play, and Tournament. In Quick Play 1-Player Mode, you enter a once-off survival battle against 3 computer opponents, with the objective of being the last bike standing. In Tournament Mode, you compete in consecutive battles, and must win each one outright to progress.

Your ‘light cycle’ accelerates automatically, and emits a wall of electrified colored light. You can steer using the Z and X Keys (Z turns your bike to the left / X turns your bike to the right). Press Spacebar to jump. If you collide with a wall of light (either an opponent’s, or your own), it’s game over. Likewise, if you come into contact with the outer walls of the arena, it's curtains! Keep one eye on the mini-map in the top right corner of the game screen. If an opponent is eliminated, their wall of light disappears from the game grid. The longer you survive a battle, the more points you score.
