Noooooooooo! I did that and had 4 hours of grief (lots of EPs). I learned the hard way to install everything one at a time in order and do the patch as the LAST step. Doing the patch first messed everything up and after installing everything I couldn't play the game.
Install all in order, patch at end. BTW, my game is working better than it EVER has on the Mac ... so I'm pretty stoked.

I disagree but what works for some doesn't always work for others. I always patch after the base game then install in order.0
Open Finder and go to the Documents folder, then find the Electronic Arts folder. If you’re uninstalling all of your games and/or Origin, right-click or highlight it and hit Command (⌘) + C to Copy it. If you’re only uninstalling one or some of your games, open the folders for those specific games and find the Saves folders in each.
